VERSION 2.0.0 ANNOUNCEMENT

Version 2.0.0 of 48 Hours is coming soon, and with the recent release of 1.0.7, we only have two more updates until 2.0.0.

What does 2.0.0 have in store?

Version 2.0.0 will have a plethra of new content for all players to enjoy! This content will include:

• More advances in the games current story and lore
• More interactables
• More items
  • Some items will also add to the story
• A sanity system
  • This will tie into some of the new items and will add a reason to explore to stay alive
• New Lurker interactions
  • The player will be able to encounter the Lurker outside of rooms. However the Lurker will still be unable to acutally kill you
• A proper ending to the first level which sets up the next chapter of the game

And hopefully much more!

What about the updates before 2.0.0?

The updates leading up to the major update will include some of the previously mentioned features and some other features not mentioned. For example, there is a chance the next update will contain a fully implemented options menu (Finally) and some of the new lore additions I mentioned.

In all honesty, 2.0.0 is more of a milestone of everything that has been made so far. It will of course have its own new content but is more for the sake of saying a certain amount of the game is finally done if that makes sense.

Will the game continue after 2.0.0?

Like I said previously, there will be a proper ending to level one that sets up the next part of the game. However, there is a chance that I will call it on this project and move on to something else. In the end, this is my very first game I've ever published on the internet! I don't think development will stop but it will definitely slow down to maybe an update once per week.
